CHARACTERISTICS OF ELECTRIC BIKES

• EASY TO OPERATE: It is very easy to operate and similar to a bicycle, but with all the benefits of an electric motor. It is a bicycle with pedal assist, which means you have to pedal to activate the motor. Our models have a highly sensitive pedal assist sensor which means the motor is activated almost immediately. The accelerator works to "reinforce" the pedal assist on steep slopes or to increase speed. The motor automatically disconnects with the brake.
• BATTERY: LONG LIFE, EASY TO CHARGE AND HANDLE: Important: The battery must be fully charged before using the bicycle for the first time Your 36V l0Ah lithium battery has a working life of 650 charges, as long as it is used in accordance with the recommendations you will find in the manual. The battery is removable (it has a security key), which means you can charge it from the bike itself or by removing the battery. There are two battery level indicators: One on the battery itself and the other on the right-hand grip. After successfully passing the ExtraEnergy.org controls the battery’s safety is guaranteed.
• NOISELESS: Thanks to its brushless motor and ABS gears, the motor is very silent.
• OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES : Front and back child seats, front and back baskets, saddle bags, Estabiciclo (bike stabiliser)… The Estabiciclo bike stabiliser, manufactured by Ecobike for each bike model, turns your bike into a stable tricycle. It is ideal for people with physical disabilities or people with little balance… The tyres can be replaced with stud tyres if you need to travel along stony paths.
• GUARANTEE: A guarantee is established via the seller according to Law 23/2003 of 10th July, for Guarantees on the Sale of Consumer Goods, in accordance with 1999/44EC regulations. Additional Conditions: The guarantee does not cover parts that suffer normal wear and tear due to the use of the electric bicycle (tyres, chain, brakes, cables...) Especially the electric components: BATTERY, MOTOR AND CONTROLLER which we guarantee for a period of 1 year. Ecobike will not be responsible and the guarantee will not be valid if you use components from other manufacturers or repair the bicycle yourself. For any checks, the ID number is engraved on the chassis, level with the bottom bracket (left side).

IMPORTANT ADVICE FOR THE USE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE BATTERY:

• CONDITIONS FOR USE:
  • The battery must be charged for 12 hours the first time. It does not reach its maximum level until the 3rd or 4th charge
  • DO NOT short-circuit the battery especially on input and output connectors.
  • NO violent vibrations, impacts and deformations.
  • Precautions with water: do not wet the connections or submerge them in water. If this occurs, disconnect, remove the battery and dry.
  • Charge at temperatures from 0~35°C.
  • Use the battery from 20~55°C.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Disconnect the battery when not in use.
  • Charge the battery fully before use
  • Keep the battery as close to maximum charge as possible, except for storage when it should remain at 60%.
  • If any problems arise contact the after-sales service
  • DO NOT handle or disassemble the battery.
  • Only use the charger provided by the supplier.
• CONDITIONS FOR STORAGE, MAINTENANCE AND TRANSPORT:
  • Charge the battery for long storage periods.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from erosive substances, fire or heat (temperature ­20~35°C ; relative humidity (5'~—·65%).
  • Charge every 3 months for 2 or 3 hours (60%).
  • For transport pack well and protect against violent vibrations, impacts, deformations, exposure to sunlight or rain. Protect the terminals.
  • Disconnect from the charger.

ANSWERS TO FREQUENT QUESTIONS:

• The bike can be used without any problems when it is raining. We recommend you dry the electric connections with a cotton cloth once you reach your destination.
• For electric bicycles the autonomy is calculated with a load of 80 Kg, using only pedal assist mode on flat ground. Any variation to this modifies this autonomy.
• The bike’s components are standard, which means components of non-electric bicycles can be installed on it.
• The lithium battery is much lighter, has much longer autonomy and its working life is over twice that of lead batteries.
• Our bicycles are designed in Spain and manufactured in China under our strict supervision.
• It can be used like a normal bicycle without activating the motor
• We always have spare parts available.
• Bicycle approved by the Ministry of Industry.
• The electric bicycle must comply with the same regulations as a non-electric bicycle (regulations may vary depending on location).
